Research technicians, fluent in German (written and spoken) with experience in genetics and mouse work; and postdocs with EU working permit, experience in host pathogen interactions, genetics and genomics, are especially encouraged to inquire about the availability of opportunities
PhD candidates
PhD projects can be carried out in structured programs in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program Molecular Medicine and in the Graduate School for Biological Sciences. A PhD or MD/PhD in Health Sciences can be obtained at The Interdisciplinary Program Health Sciences (IPHS). MDs can apply for the DZIF MD/PhD program which covers 3 years of clinical leave.
Master's and MD thesis
Projects may be available to obtain a Master's degree in Biological Sciences or Dr. med. degree at the University of Cologne. Medical students should be willing to take a semester off to work full time in the lab on a research project.
