PhD candidates

PhD projects can be carried out in structured programs in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program Molecular Medicine .

MDs can apply for the DZIF MD/PhD program which covers 3 years of clinical leave.

Master's and MD thesis

Projects may be available to obtain a Master's degree in Biological Sciences or Dr. med. degree at the University of Cologne. Medical students should be willing to take a semester off to work full time in the lab on a research project and can apply for funding from the DZIF MD Programme.
